Once upon a time during the month of March 2014, we decided to utilize our first few weeks back at university by partaking in the #30DaysOfFashion challenge. It was indeed a challenge, but being budding fashionistas completed it with sass and style.

We compiled a list of 30 diverse themes, one for each day:

  1. Incorporate an item you bought in 2013
  2. Fashion's Past - find an old photo from high school and recreate the outfit, but better!!
  3. Taylor Swift Inspired outfit
  4. Anything but Black!
  5. Gossip Girl inspired outfit
  6. Wear something you haven't worn in 6 months
  7. Wear an outfit combo you haven't tried yet
  8. Outfit that reminds us of the other
  9. Lazy Day Outfit
  10. Dress like a music video
  11. Your go-to "uniform" outfit
  12. Inspired by your style icon
  13. Incorporate an item you bought in 2014
  14. Choose a picture from your tumblr likes and re-create it
  15. Favourite Print
  16. Am I Little Mix yet?
  17. Classic White Shirt
  18. Your favourite piece of clothing
  19. Neutrals ROCK!
  20. Inspired by your favourite TV show
  21. One Direction inspired outfit
  22. On Edge - Dress in an "edgy" way
  23. Base your outfit on an "era"
  24. The outfit you've had the best times in!
  25. Do it like a dude - Androgynous outfit
  26. Favourite Pants
  27. All about accessories - shoes, bag, belt, jewelery
  28. An outfit made entirely of items from one company
  29. A totally YOU outfit
  30. Wear white cause its the COLOUR RUN!!

The best part about this challenge, besides from all the awesome photos we took, was discovering our wardrobe potential and stepping outside our comfort zones. We learnt to pair items we'd never worn together before, and make an effort to wear something completely different everyday. It was also great to communicate through photos instead of our regular text based communication.

Georgia Day 15: Favourite Print - Gotta love the florals, especially on pants!
Nurul Day 12: Inspired by your style icon - I picked Zooey Deschanel... "Who's that girrrllll..."
Georgia Day 24: The outfit you've had the best times in - I can't even list them all!! 
Nurul Day 18: Your favourite item of clothing - Love this dress!
Georgia Day 19: Neutrals Rock - And so good for formal clothes days 
Nurul Day 28: Outfit made entirely from one shop - Georgia and I both ended up doing Cotton On-based outfits! 
Georgia Day 21: One Direction inspired outfit - They dress so dapper, it made it super easy!!
Reunited on Day 29: A totally you outfit! 

We hope this inspires you to do your own version of the #30DaysOfFashion and perhaps you'll find some hidden gems in your own wardrobe that have been forgotten about!

Inspired by Lily's new take on the Facebook "year in review" I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and share a few of my favourite or most memorable moments from 2014. Georgia's Elective Diary - Part 3 (Theatre Performances)

One of the great things here in Adelaide has been the low-key relaxed environment of the operating theatre. In New Zealand theatres, you’d occasionally hear the soft murmuring of a radio station playing as you work, and its typical for light hearted conversation to occur, but here in Adelaide, every theatre is equipped with iPhone speaker docks to enable every surgeon’s personalized choice of music to reverberate through the theatre. One of the consultants didn’t provide his own music, but it was well expected of any registrar, resident or medical student to not enter his theatre without the music that he liked. What was that music you ask? Beyoncé. When we were in theatre with him one morning, he asked for some music, and we had limited Beyoncé between us. 2014: In Review (Part 2)

Alright, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon a little bit late, and also because I feel bad for Georgia having done all the posting, as I currently have no life. However, we can still take a trip down memory lane, when I did have a life and what a very busy, fulfilling life it was. I miss it.  Apologies in advance for the extremely long post. What can I say? I love ranting. January I moved into my new flat all by myself (I mean...with the paid help of some movers of course, sure as hell wasn't gonna cart my bed base and mattress half an hour across town). I learnt that I am very good at packing under pressure. The rest of January was a bit lonely though, aside from the fact that Lily came to visit me!! Shreya was also here for her birthday weekend which was so much fun. I won #SluttySummer by some ridiculous miracle.
